Description
This course is designed to provide participants with foundation skills and knowledge to pursue further formal training, gain entry level employment in trade related industries or support capacity building initiatives in remote communities.

Certificate I in Industrial Skills (Entry Level Training) is configured around three (3) areas including Essential Core and Optional Elective areas:
1. Core units - total of three (3) units
Choose one (1) from each area:
A. Safe Operations in the Workplace
B. Communication in the Workplace
C. Planning and Organisational Requirements
2. Elective units: Industry Skills Support - maximum of 170 hours from any area, with no required minimum hours:
A. Education and Foundation Skills
B. General Workplace Skills
3. Elective units: General - minimum of 100 hours required to a maximum of 230 hours from any of the following:
- The list below,
OR
- Any endorsed Training Package at AQF Level 1, with a maximum of two (2) units from AQF Level II
OR
- Any Accredited Courses at AQF Level 1, with a maximum of two (2) units from AQF Level II
